Sherman

Sherman is a Belgian company founded by musician and producer Herman Gillis who designed the analog Filterbank for filtering and distortion that can be pushed to extremes, both live and in the studio. The first ones were hand-built in a run of 40 in 1996. He later added MIDI to the design and the company now also makes the Restyler designed for DJs and Producers, and the QMF - four Filterbanks in one box with extra features. Sherman Filterbank users include Björk, The Chemical Brothers, Davie Bowie, The Prodigy, Ziggy Marley, Blur, Andy Gill of Gang of Four, and Vuvuvultures.
